Time For a Break, and the Rebelle Rally!
So many wonderful things are happening at LUSB these days! We embarked on a company-wide LEAN journey, involving everyone in the discipline and doing a lot of good 5S work to start. We launched a new spare tire storage system that integrates with Oscar's Mobile Hideout (LUSB220). We partnered with Tread Lightly on a unique Oscar product that sends their message, and ours, into the wild. We dove deeper into lift solutions that will change the manner with which many of our beloved technicians in the field carry their tools. I have never been prouder of the team and our mission.
The work we are performing is difficult at times but always rewarding. I am confident everyone at LUSB is benefiting, but I am tired. Everyone comments on it, tells me to take a break, go on vacation, just take a day off. The concept sounds inviting, but I rarely if ever actually do take a break. I tend to work weekends, evenings, early mornings, etc. and burnout, get cranky, and unload on folks unjustly or go silent into my misery. Not my finest hour. So, I am taking time off to go recharge and disconnect from the digital world. Southern Utah, here I come.
Totally stoked to go explore a portion of the U.S. I have never been to. This trip will take us along 4WD roads west to east, through Capitol Reef NP, across the San Rafael Swell, along the White Rim in Canyonlands NP, and back west through eastern Nevada and SE Oregon. Along the way I am going to find a way to abuse the gear we make and see what is working and what is not, all while enjoying what beautiful vistas our public lands have to offer. If you see me on the road, come get a free goodie from the goodie bag!
This year we have some good friends competing in the Rebelle Rally.
Please check out these 2 awesome teams, their amazing rides, and what I think is one of the best events for enthusiasts. We are proud to be sponsoring them in small, but meaningful, ways...
